2020-2021 Staff Team

Christopher Heng is not Hmong. Let’s just get that one out of the way. He might as well be, though, as he has been serving Hmong Churches for over 23 years. Chris was born to Chinese parents in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, although his mother is from Great Britain… confusing, he knows. He grew up in Littleton, Colorado, and then went to Bethel College in St. Paul, MN with a BA in Social Work. After getting married in 2002, he and his wife moved to Twin Cities Hmong Baptist Church and worked with the youth for 3 ½ years. In 2007, Chris became the pastor of Twin Cities HBC and has served there for the past fourteen years. Chris is no stranger to Standing Stones as he has taught workshops and tracks, was one of the main speakers in 2014, and served as the Staff Advisor for five years. Today, Chris hopes that his time as President will open up opportunities for each camper to surrender to Jesus for the first time, grow in their faith, or take their next step in obedience toward ministry. He has two wonderful children: Coraline (age 12) and Zephan (age 8).

Volunteer Director

Soua Xae is the Volunteer Director for Standing Stones! Soua attends Grace Point alongside Sean in Wisconsin. He is currently a dietetic technician student but also has an Associates in Biblical Studies. He enjoys to talk about health and nutrition--or literally anything in general. Soua has developed a newfound love for video and photography and also editing in these past few years. Additionally, Soua sings and plays guitar in his free time. Otherwise, you can find him hitting the gym, on a solo walk, researching crypto, and playing video games!

Public Relations

Esha Lee is the current Public Relations Director. Although designing isn't her forte, photography is (sorta)! Esha attends First Hmong Baptist Church of Albemarle (pronounced alby-mall) in North Carolina. She is serving in the Youth Lead and Children's Ministry Director position. Standing Stones has always had a special place in her heart as it is also where she felt God calling her out of her old life. Her journey since then has been of both roses and thorns but He continues to create a beautiful garden in her life. Esha goes to Wingate University with a major in Accounting and a minor in Educational Studies. Although she's the only girl on the staff, all the members make her feel welcomed so it's lots of fun! In her free time, she enjoys working out and trying new dishes!

Kaleb currently attends First Hmong Baptist Church in Morganton, NC. Kaleb is the youngest of 3 boys in his family. He is currently a Full-Time student at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, majoring in eSports Management, Performance, and Production (yes, they have such a program, lol!) Kaleb currently enjoys playing tennis, volleyball, board games, and especially video games. Currently he enjoys playing VALORANT on his PC. Kaleb also enjoys watching movies, professional wrestling, and streaming on his YouTube channel, TKOA1. Kaleb loves being his people together. His favorite food is pho and his favorite movie is Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back.

Worship Director

Sean is the current worship director for Standing Stones. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour when he was just 16 years old. Sean attends Grace Point Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has been serving in the worship ministry for almost 8 years now! Sean has 4 other siblings and is the second youngest (baby boy) in my family. Sean currently has an Associates Degree but he is planning to finish school with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Outside of church and school, Sean's favorites in life are God, cruises, traveling, shoes, movies, K-dramas (sometimes), music, sports, video games, photography, and videography.

Activities Director

Steve attends First Hmong Baptist Church of Kansas City and currently serves the Youth and Sunday School ministries there. Graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science and is currently working in the IT department at the company PBI Gordon. He enjoys a variety of activities with friends and family such as playing volleyball, board/card/video games, trying new foods, and watching football (Go Chiefs!). A personal hobby is he loves all sorts of anime, any show he probably knows about! Lastly, Steve is into DIY technologies like building PCs and keyboards.
